We have an Alamo booking through our travel agent, we also have an Alamo membership (Alamo Insiders) account. We are picking up at LAX in June 2016. I would prefer to book online, that would have been much easier than booking through an agent. We would like to enable an online check-in for this booking but don't know how to do it.

9 years ago. Hi, I'm soon renting an SUV with Alamo. Some places I'd like to visit ( Death Valley and Yosemite) might be accessible via dirt road. Has anyone rented with Alamo and driven on unpaced roads? Their T&C's state: (10) Vehicle shall not be driven on an unpaved road or off-road. Which to me, is very vague.
Alamo is just fine. The best thing for you to do is to arrange your rental in advance (as you're doing now), join the members club (free), and then turn down every add-on that's offered by the agent. I booked an Alamo rental car through Expedia, paid Expedia for car before trip, and then paid Alamo in Mexico, expecting to be credited for initial payment to Expedia. When the credit did not occur, I contacted Expedia, who after 4 months of numerous email exchanges stated that Alamo Mexico stated that the charges were add-ons.
