We just booked our trip to Hawaii through Costco after talking to a few other travel agents. Costco gave us a similar package to the others (a local, independent travel agency and Liberty Travel) and the Costco travel agency offered more 'extras' and was about $2,000 less than the others. We booked our trip after our 3rd call to Costco.
Lots of people seem to book vacation packages to Maui through Costco. From what we hear on the forum most are very happy with the experience. Certainly agree about Costco but at least for me from the Bay Area, I can always buy my own airfare cheaper then Costco. I simply use them for the land and car package. In it's day, AAA use to be the go-to place for travel.
