Agree with Roadadvisor, many times booking sites look like great deals as they do not include mandatory insurance in your quote just to find on arrival that you have to pay $20 per day more than you thought, regardles what your Costco, Orbitz, Expedia confirmations say.

Very late pick up (after midnight due to incoming flight delay) and very early return (around 5am). Got a great price online (Alamo Insider) with booking a few weeks before.
And the savings isn't enough to warrant getting a new Costco membership either. Or at least to bother going to get one. I guess the question is whether or not I can book the rental car through Costco with my fiance's membership card, but the rental be under my name and if we will have any problems. Thanks.

I will have to keep checking back with Alamo to see if there rates drop lower then Enterprise so we can get the second driver free. Enterprise charges $10 per day and that can add up since we are going for 2 weeks. Report inappropriate content.

2 helpful votes. Car rental through Costco. 11 years ago. My choices in San Diego to rent a car using our Costco membership are Alamo, Avis, Budget and Enterprise. We usually rent from Alamo but was surprised to find they are the most expensive of the four in San Diego.
