Could also look at Go San Diego card. We are members of the San Diego Zoo and the Safari Park, and the Go San Diego card is what the zoo pitches as a way of seeing the zoo, the Safari Park, Legoland, and some other attractions. We have never bought one because we are members, but the price looks okay.

Re: Senior 1 day pass - buy at trolley station ticket machine? Think you need proof of age for a senior fare, and machines not capable of verifying. Suggest you check the San Diego transit web site for list of retailers from which you can get a senior Compass card. Senior in San Diego is 65 years and above.
There is not much of a Senior discount (I believe $3 off), but you are better off purchasing your tickets beforehand online to get a $20+ discount off the admission price. It's a great park with a lot of attractions, and easy access in and out and you don't have to walk miles to the entrance from the parking lot like the other theme parks.
