Answer 1 of 6: We are planning a week/10 days on Maui. Do the car rental companies have any problems with renting to seniors? We are very vigorous and in fact I drive an ambulance and have a part time gig as a driver at an auto auction. Age is 82.

110 helpful votes. 6. Re: extra charge on Hertz car rental for being over 65. 12 years ago. For a Hertz reservation, they ask your age in this manner: 18-19, 20-24 or 25+. There is no mention of a charge for a 65+ driver. I called them and got the same information. I think there is some misunderstanding here.
