So, bad luck I will be month younger than required 25 year old, so I looked up how to avoid urderage surcharge and my europe membership should do the trick (same as AAA).
AAA members get the undeage fee waved with Hertz. Join the rental car clubs. They are free to join, give you discounts and allow you to pre fill all the information so you don't have to always stop at the rental counter. The Kiosks are time savers.
Thanks. It appears there's no AAA discount on Hertz right now except for weekend and weekly rentals (I'm renting for 4 weekdays). Hertz has a 25% off discount coupon code, but it only allows one CDP code, so it won't let me enter my AAA information to get the free second driver.
Apr 21, 2024, 11:46 AM. AAA membership is worthwhile if you travel and use hotel discounts and other purchase discounts alone. AAA has different levels. The difference has to do with things like towing distances needed if you car broke down and you needed a tow. I manly drive within 5 miles of where I live.
Even using temporary card from an AAA office is a good suggestion. Benefits appear to be decent, yes there are other services who may provide similar discounts but these all in one place. Hertz non charging of under 21 fees in NY would be a very big benefit for co driver on a 6 weeks road trip. Thanks again
