Absolutely awesome memorial in a perfectly peaceful location with stunning 360 degree views. We spent almost an hour there looking at all the memorial plaques which included photos of veterans living and deceased who have served in any branch of service since the Revolutionary War. Teens enjoyed it too.

Veterans Memorial Park. I visited the Veterans Memorial Park on a daytrip to Port Washington. It is a lovely park on the shores of Lake Michigan, and is easily accessible by means of a short walk on the Harborwalk from downtown. There is a nice memorial statue in the park, but the salient feature is the Bandshell.
