There are differences wrt room sizes, views, how good the beaches are for swimming and snorkeling, traffic issues, pool quality, proximity to walkable restaurants and shops, proximity to natural spots or paths, etc.

I just booked a package for the first time in a long time I usually book pieces individually but the Costco package was $200 cheaper and it saved me not using $200 worth of miles so a net savings of $400.
