Planning a last minute family girls’ trip over marathon weekend in November. There will be seven us ranging in age from 30-65 and traveling Thursday, Nov 2 - Monday, Nov 6. It’s a quick trip with just three full days in the middle so we’re planning to see/do as much as possible, but I just realized it’s during the big NYC marathon.
One big impact is on hotel prices, which shoot through the roof for the event. You may also find some subway lines to be unusually crowded (with spectators rushing from point to point along the course, and with smelly and exhausted runners later in the day). Unfortunately we had three bookings with carmel limo in New York City and will never ever do any booking with this company again. 1.) I just proposed to my girlfriend and ordered a pickup with a luxury sedan to be brought to our hotel. The at least friendly driver was 10min late, the car was a normal one, nothing special.
