If only for pain Ibuprofen (generic name) is abvaliable OTC in 200mg dosage and at 400mg at the counter. 2.

   I'm not aware of a list of available OTC medications in France.Most ordinary stuff -- paracetemol, etc., -- are easy to find -- but in a pharmacie, not in a supermarket or even a parapharmacie (parapharmacies sell cosmetics, dietary supplements and other things that aren't quite medicine but aren't quite food.)
