   That can incur huge penalty charges, not sure about Budget but some rental companies will void your entire original deal and charge you up the ying yang.    I agree. We got the best deal renting the car with Costco (that's where we found the best rates) and staying at one of the hotels that offers parking. We liked the Hilton. The Holiday Inn express was getting rave reviews from people we talked to. If you opt not to stay the night the Port parking is safe. I wouldn't worry about the rental car there.
