Answer 1 of 7: I am a young female traveling by greyhound from Philadelphia to DC late at night on a Saturday. Will be arriving in DC at 3:25 am to Union Station. Is the area safe at night?
1 year ago. I have an 0810 departure of regional train from Union Station to NYC on a Monday morning next month. I plan to get there as early as 0630 and specifically to wander around many sections and areas to appreciate the architecture, history etc and to absorb the atmosphere of the active terminal- hey, I love trains.

In terms of nightlife, it depends on your ages. Gross generalizations on the main areas: Georgetown: College aged. Adams Morgan: Right out of college. 3. Re: How safe is DC's Union Station at night. It is relatively safe- just normal precautions. The area around the station is relatively higher crime than some other parts of the city, but the neighborhood is undergoing alot of change. The main train station entrance inside is beautiful- high ceilings very ornate.
