Convention Center Area Safety. Sep 9, 2023, 7:51 PM. Hello. Might be traveling solo to KC to attend a conference at the convention center and wondering about the general safety of the area. Staying at Hotel Indigo Downtown and would like to walk or take the KC Streetcar to some restaurants, jazzclubs, WW I Museum, maybe River Market area.
