I have booked a car rental at the Kona airport with Budget and now I see a better price with either Thrifty or Dollar. BUT i see all of these companies get really bad reviews on Trip Advisor for this location.
Go to carrentalsavers.com. Just plug in your dates and they add l any discount codes.I also use costco.com but you have to have there card to use it.

I have tried all the sites suggested and always end up booking with the rental company directly. I just booked 11 days with thrifty for $ 313.00 total ( including the crazy fees ) for a wild car.

I can't remember which one, but I just did a Google search for 'Blue Car Rental Iceland discount code' (or something similar) and it came up in the search results. It was only 5% off but every little helps ;)
