7 years ago. Great response. I did quite a few comparisons yesterday between Costco packaged "deals" and booking directly on my own. In all 5 cases, booking directly was either the same price or slightly lower. My conclusion is Costco Travel isn't a good value. Report inappropriate content. CapeCodCharlie.
It was fun spending the OBC and using the Beverage Package. It was convenient arranging the trip. We started out online then got more support via telephone to Costco. One tip: get the travel insurance through Costco. Much less expensive and we did use the insurance when one family member got sick and had to see the doctor onboard and miss 2 ...
2. Re: Costco Travel Insurance. Jul 29, 2024, 11:15 AM. I injured my Achilles Tendon playing pickle ball so I had to cancel my trip. Had purchased Costco through Zurich and always had good results with Costco. Not so much this time. Put in my claim June 5, 2024 and called numerous times waiting hours on the phone.
I have used Costco Travel several times for family trips. They are wonderful to work with, and their prices are much better than I can find elsewhere. In addition, most of their packages include bonuses (e.g., resort credits, Costco cash cards, transportation). I always go to Costco Travel first when planning a trip.
