You can find coupons online, in the paper, Valu-pak mailers, etc. I normally use Airlines Parking on Merriman. US Park (Middlebelt) will accept any business card for the $9 "corporate" rate. Quik Park is another on Merriman. All will pick you up at your car and shuttle you to the door of the terminal. Google any of them to find online coupons.
Answer 1 of 10: Flying out at end of Dec from DTW and need parking for 8 days. Normally we use a park & stay that includes parking in the hotel rate but this time we will not be staying overnight at a hotel.
All of the off-site parking companies (Quik Park, US Park, Airlines Parking, etc.) are open 24 hours a day, and average at about $9-10/day. Allow about 15-20 extra minutes for the shuttle ride from the lot to McNamara.
1. Re: parking for north terminal-big blue deck. Yes, they can park in the Blue Deck and comfortably walk to the Spirit counter. It would cost $18 per 24-hour period. As mentioned, at 2 or 3 in the morning the shuttles are probably less frequent but they constantly run so no reservation needed.
Re: Best long term parking at detroit airport. for $10/day, look into the "Big Blue Deck" at the airport itself. It is the parking structure by the North Terminal. They have free shuttle buses to the McNamara terminal (call 1 800 377 1032 from your parking spot in the structure and they will pick you up from there).
