I've been trying to find a car rental in Paris City which provides unlimited mileage (planning a trip from France to Italy). I've looked at most of the main car rentals (Europcar, Avis, Hertz) and they are all limited to about 250km per day...
I recently have been looking for a rental with unlimited miles myself. Some car rentals like avis and budget advertise unlimited miles, but read the fine print. They often limit the so called "unlimited miles" to only a handful of states, with a 25 - 35 cent/mile surcharge for any miles outside of those states.
Two years ago we put 1200 miles on in 6 days around Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. Last year it was 1200 again from Rapid City and Yellowstone. This year Rocky Mountain National Park and on to Moab to visit Arches/Canyonlands the first week in Sept. The car was rented through Priceline 3 months ago with unlimited mileage.

If they were counting the bed of the truck for storage you could fit a lot more than 2 large and 2 small bags. I don't know why they would list it that way. They must mean the back seat of the cab. Pick up trucks are great if you are moving furniture or taking hay out to the animals in a farm field, not so much for a road trip.
