Hi, I have seen on here that it is a good idea to add a Thrifty Blue Chip number to our car hire booking so that we don’t have to wait as long at the desk. We booked ( and paid for) our car using Rentalcars.com ( we are in Australia).

thanks Ric.. After 45 minutes with Thrifty and a very pleasant customer rep it was determined that the corporate number on the Thrifty reservation is the key to allow the extra free drivers. She even called the OGG Thrifty counter rep.to confirm. However, my Blue Chip number wasn't on the reservation which is a good thing at this point.

I have a car (SUV) reservation at Budget via Costco for $558 for 10 days (down from $800) and today I just checked DHCR and for the same category their rate was $388 through Thrifty. Now I have never used Thrifty so I was curious about those that have.
I called Thrifty and had them add in my Blue Chip Number. When I got the updated reservation all I did was file it away. Well I looked at it today and the price was now $947 for the same reservation. I called Thrifty and after a long time checking things out my resrvation was put back to the $327. So please check your reservations when you do this.
It’s a Thrifty car, but Thrifty is being serviced by Hertz. Our flight got changed to arrive at 2 pm (originally 12pm, which is our car pickup time). I was unable to change the pickup time.
