At OHare and pretty much every airport National and Alamo use the same lots and facilities. Enterprise Rent a Cars are always at a separate location. At O'Hare Enterprise is about a half mile up the road. Let's not confuse the original poster. There is signage and Enterprise O'Hare isn't that difficult to get to.
Google maps show 3 routes. I'd like advice from locals as to which would be the best route: 1. 90 east then 290 west. 2. 294 south then 290 east. 3. Route 12/45 south to 290 east. I am returning to O'Hare later that day to pick up family arriving at 8:30pm.

O'Hare, located on the far north side of Chicago, is one of the city's 77 community areas. O'Hare International Airport is located within the boundaries of this community area. This community area is the only one that extends outside Cook County ; the western edge (an area comprising the southwest part of the airport) is in DuPage County .
They are rude, aggressive and misleading. They are not at the O’Hare car rental center like they state. You have to take a tram to the rental center (where all other major rental cars are) and then there, you get on another shuttle and drive 15 min away from the airport to get to their location. When I arrived, they asked for proof of insurance.
AVIS has outrageous taxes /hidden fees- Do Not be fooled by nice car and counter service!!! Picked up car in Chicago airport -what SEEMED a great deal 4 day rental- $172! when I returned the car - they charged me $132 IN TAXES!!!!
