   3. Re: Restaurant Outside Security at LAX? 14 years ago. Encounter is actually pretty decent - its in the building in the middle of the airport that looks like a flying saucer, or a building from the Jetsons. In fact, the interior is very Jetsons-esque, replete with glowing neon and lava lamps.

   The LAX location is in the international terminal ticketing area and can be reached by walking from domestic terminals (very short walk from AA terminal 4) Location was not as busy as other outlets and seating was full/ questionable- not clean. We took the food with us to terminal 4 to eat. Very happy with the quality of the food.

   You could probably get to Budget between 4:30-4:40 AM and be in the terminal by 5:00 AM. However I'd plan to arrive earlier - security lines can be long and its usually suggested to be at the terminals 2 hours before a domestic / internal flight, and 3 hours before an international flight. 2.
