I had good luck with a relatively unknown company called Sixt. It has worldwide car rentals and if you like getting upper end cars, ie VW, BMW, Benz, Volvo, etc. this is it. It's real close to Orlando airport and has the best cars. If your friends are from overseas, it may be to their advantage to check them out.
According to the link above Advantage will debit your card the total of the rental plus up to $140 deposit. So, if your rental total is $200 plus a $140 deposit= $340 debited from your card immediately and then the deposit refunded some days after you return the car. Again, all companies do not have the same policy. Read the T&Cs.
