   12 years ago. Save. I rented a mid size SUV at Phoenix Sky for $13.00 per day in my husbands name through Priceline. I then signed up for Hertz Gold through AAA in my husbands name. I just called Hertz and because we used Priceline, we are not able to use the Hertz Gold perks like adding a second driver (myself) or skipping the rental line.

   5. Re: Hertz Gold membership question. 6 years ago. No, you need to have the GR number on the reservation to qualify for the service, which basically means they pre- allocate a car to you which you can just go to the garage and drive off in, depending on the location arrangements.

Last time we used Hertz here (before we moved over) they had a Gold Choice area where you go directly to the lot to pick your car from Gold choice area. Have to sign up ahead and make it part of your reservation if I remember correctly.

   Hertz could not match the reservation on my membership number as there was no reservation. The reason for using a 3rd party was time pressure. Didn’t have time to go through easy provider individually & whilst on the road wasn’t able to (even if I had thought of it) call hertz direct to check - which would kind of defeated the whole point ...

It's smaller than the parking area at your local Target. c) find the rental car garges that you are familiar with at other airports. Hint: there are none. No gold or emerald aisle at small airports.
