If your flight leaves at 725 am, the airlines say to arrive at check in 2 hours prior to departure, I would set the drop time for the rental car at 5 am. This will allow 30 minutes to get the car returned and make your way to the terminal to check in for your flight.
Re: How early to get to LAS for flight out. 3 years ago. 1 hour with out bags. 1-1/2 hours with bags. Add 45+ minutes if dropping a rental car. Add more time if a convention is breaking or Sun or Mon.
Book your room for another night. At the very least, ask the front desk for a 'free' late check out (this will usually get you a couple hours), or paying a "day rate", this might get you to 4:00 or 5:00 and would be less than paying for the extra night. Good Luck!
We flew out of LV to Alberta in Dec/21, on a full Friday morning flight, when pre-departure PCR tests were still required.We got to the airport 1.5 hours before boarding time, and even with tests/Arrive Can checks, and a sudden gate change, we had almost 1/2 hour to spare (I actually had even more time, thanks to Nexus).
Generally, Sunday, Monday and Friday are the busiest days at LAS Airport for departures. It also depends on what terminal you are using. I would show up at the rental car center at 4am for a 6am flight.
