The problem in dropping it off thr night before is many hotel don’t operate shuttles for flights pre 7am. Many national car rental companies allo early am drop car off and put keys in a box.

   In order to get picked up in Seattle you need to take the rental car facility bus back to the airport before you call them to pick you up at the hotel shuttle pickup location. When the rental car bus drops you off you need to go up and across the sky bridge at Seatac and down one level to the hotel shuttle pickup area. Then call the hotel.
