   12 years ago. We usually book the vehicle on the rental car company's website and enter the "Costco discount code/ coupon Id # etc for the discounted rate. They do not require your Costco membership number. Upon picking up the vehicle we have had it both ways....a few times they have asked to see the membership card...most times not.

They have coupons online plus you get a 10% discount. I had previously reserved on Alamo.com for $277, which was better than anyone else.

   We are renting from Alamo, using the Costco discount. We leave Saturday, and twice in the last week our car rental has gone down in price. The other day, Sunday, it went down by $13.00, last night it went down my $31.97. I just checked it again a few minutes ago and it has gone down again.....only $3.00, but hey, $3 is $3!!
