If you do ByPass the Counter (after check-in)- you enter a credit card. Alamo authorizes $1.00 immediately to that card. I do not know the cancel policy after this stage.
Re: Warning - why you should NEVER book a car with Allegiant air. 7 years ago. First, all's well that ends well, as they (Alamo) waived their fee. Secondly, the fee is from Alamo and not Allegiant. Air lines offer these deals not as airline service but as third party service. Please see comments above from GeoMedic.
It does not seem possible to modify or cancel a reservation online either, as a message advising that "this reservation cannot be modified online - please call customer service at ..." appears on any attempt to view an existing reservation. Alamo, how about getting you act together - your problems are not making for happy customers.
You have even less protection in that scenario. Even if they take your money in advance, they can give it back if they don't have a car. It is different than a hotel which when you pay, they guarantee they have a room. The chances are they won't give you your money back because they are greedy and will still make money off a rental even if they ...
83. Re: BEWARE - Do NOT book a car rental through Priceline.com. I reserved and prepaid for a Dollar car rental through Priceline in early Sep. 2021, for pick-up a couple of days later at EWR. When I got to the rental counter after an hour standing in line, the agent could not find any reservation for me.
Answer 1 of 4: I opted to use the skip the counter at Alamo in June at LAX. The credit card I put down when I completed the process I need to change. Is there a way I can cancel the skip the counter or change my credit card on file?

It is very easy to drive back to baggage claim and pick up the other person with the bags. There is a sidewalk to the left of the parking lot.
I just tried to do the same thing: add my Alamo Insider number to an existing reservation booked through Costco. The 855 area code Alamo Insider desk said they could not do it, and referred me (not transferred me) to another Alamo desk at 800 651 1223. They were familiar with the problem but said it cannot be done, do it at the rental counter.
