The key is to plan far in advance in order to get the best rates. With Disney hotel & ticket package, I recommend at least 6 to 8 months ahead. You can make a reservation and just be aware of cancellation policy. It used to be a $200 deposit to secure the reservation. Then you have up to a certain date to make payments and changes.

FYI, the Costco Travel Packages to Disneyland and Walt Disney World in Orlando are actually handled by The Walt Disney Travel Company, basically the same arrangement that AAA Travel and Get Away Today has. That is, they have the "Costco" name on them, and get some special "benefits" based on the brand.
