Technology is such that direct links from rental companies are imbedded in OTA, airline & other rental booking channels so you don’t book a rental car when a location is closed.

   9. Re: Fox rent a car. 10 years ago. I strongly and urgently recommend that you do NOT rent from Fox Rent a Car !!! My wife and I (and 30 other customers) had a terrible experience while picking up our "reserved" car at Denver Intl. Airport on September 6, 2013: they didn't have any cars !!

   If the rate quoted is like $6 US/day, then that's without insurance. Figure more like ~$50 US/day for a small/mid-size with adequate insurance. I've used Fox in TJ since they were cheaper than A is at the airport and they were OK. Reply.

   Accordingly, we went with never-before-heard-of Fox Rental Cars. Upon arriving in West Palm at approx. 10:30p, we made our way to the designated rental car shuttle area. We waived down the Fox shuttle driver and he told us that the shuttle was full and to walk over to another designated rental car shuttle area.

The trick to renting a vehicle is to reserve early at a price you find acceptable, the check back frequently for better deals (I check daily, it only takes a minute or so) If and when you find a better deal, reserve that one and cancel the other one.

   Of the different companies to choose from, don't bother with Fox Car Rental. They get you in the door with their cheaper rates but somehow the prices skyrocket upon return. I should've trusted reviews but didn't, and got burned a couple of months ago. Edited: 14 years ago
