If I download a ride-calling app (such as Uber or Grab) in the USA, then go to the Philippines and use the SAME unlocked phone (with the app already on it) but buy a local SIM card with a local phone number; does the app still work? I plan to do that and buy a SIM card at NAIA on arrival. I don't want to use my US number with extra roaming charges.
