However time pressures sometimes means it’s easier to see the sort of prices on offer on an aggregator site rather than traveling through each supplier individually. I’ve learned a lesson though.    I think Priceline has gotten away from their original sales model. They used to mainly offer blind bidding for potential steep discounts. When I looked at Priceline recently for a car rental their prices were comparable to booking through any other third party or booking direct and most of the listings named the rental car company.
