The "hike" to Palisade falls is far from a hike, but is definitely worth the visit to anyone visiting or living in Bozeman. The trail to the falls begins right past Hyalite Canyon (a MUST see for anyone in the Bozeman area for any length of time). Driving through a beautiful canyon and seeing snow covered mountain tops in July,, Just a short walk--.7 of a mile--on a paved trail with gradual incline, hearing the stream as you ascend, then spotting the falls was a spectacular sight. Great options for photo shots!! Time from downtown Bozeman and return was two and a half hours!!
