There is no mention of a charge for a 65+ driver. I called them and got the same information. I think there is some misunderstanding here.
5. Re: Age for car rental. There are indeed several European countries with upper age restrictions- though in some cases it is 79, not 70- but there are some that deny rental at age 70. This article should help here in the US there are no age restrictions , so many are surprised to find this is the case.
14 years ago. I have rented from both Thrifty and Dollar, they are major national chains. My car has always been there (or free upgrade given), clean, current tag. I have never paid for the extra insurance since I have full coverage auto insurance that covers rental cars (check with yours) plus my credit card covers it, almost all do these days.
