It sounds like OP was expecting the refund on his/her credit card as fast as the airline take the money when booking, also did not expect to lose £50 for cancelling due to time change of flight. The refund will take a few days, call Ryanair and challenge the £50 charge.

My understanding is if your arrival time at your destination is more than 90 minutes later than originally scheduled, which I assume it is if the ATL layover has gone from 3 to 5.5 hours, them you are entitled to reject the change and seek a refund.

You must cancel your trip for a refund.". If you've put a 24hr hold on a ticket then you haven't purchased it.

Entered details in link and under reason for request I selected flight time changed +/- 3 hours.
