Nov 2, 2023, 1:36 PM. Hertz used to be good, but it's reputation has taken a hit. Last year it was fined US$168 million for sleazy business practices, and a corporate culture like that doesn't go away very easily. I haven't heard of any scandals regarding Alamo, not that I've been looking for any.

There are plenty of coupons online and on the rental car company website to bring down deals. One way rentals are more expensive. I have always paid the rate I get when booking and I don't see anyone at the counter. That is the point. No one can upsell you. Others book National and Alamo and Budget and are generally happy with it.
Answer 1 of 7: I can find from from the discount code website online. It belongs to a Motor Club. It saves a lot with the NeverLost GPS. Can I just go ahead to use it? Will Hertz ask me to show the membership card of that motor card when I collect the car?
Answer 1 of 13: We are arriving into Orange County John Wayne airport on 8/12 and returning out of Orange County oh the 18th. Weekly car rental with a recognized company is over $500!
