Take the bad reviews of this rental place seriously and run in the opposite direction, rent from anyone else. ACE Rent A Car is a scam! They double charged us for our rental, we had paid in full through Priceline and then ACE charged us again, promising it was just for a "deposit" except it was not a deposit after all.

Endured an interminable wait for the airport shuttle, only to be duped with deceitful charges. Despite twice stating my existing insurance, a brazen $119.94 insurance fee materialized on my bill.
Here is where the disaster really happens. On my second day, I was driving out of Animal Kingdom, going about 45 MPH when all of a sudden the car jerked and the dash alerted me to a system malfunction. I had no access to my brakes or gas, a very scary and dangerous situation to say the least. I pulled over and immediately called ACE car rentals.

I booked a 2-day small car via economycarrentals.com as this was the cheapest rate online. However beware of the hidden charges ACE car rental will hit you with on arrival.
I rented a car with Ace where I paid fully ($143.53 ) online on November 17, 2023. I picked up the car at Fort Lauderdale airport on November 30, 2023 and returned the car on December 3, 2023. To much to my surprise, my Amex account was charged again in the amount of $242.47. Thank God I used my Amex when I paid ACE originally.
Scam and Racketeering. Knowing that I’d be in FL on business during spring break (cars are scarced and could get pretty expensive), I rented a car a month in advance from “Rent a Car 4 Less” via trip.com. The company name should have been a hint. I got a decent car for $110 for 4 days - pretty good deal.
