Thanks for sharing your experience. I will be crossing at Ogdenburg or Thousand Islands. I have searched the boards and frequent travelers seem to find that Thousand Islands is usually faster as an overall route to Syracuse from Ottawa (and vice versa) because the extra border wait is offset by faster road travel, but that it isn't faster if the waits are extra long.
