We flew American on Thanksgiving day and had no problems getting through the airport. There were plenty of taxis as we exited the airport, and it was very well organized.
What Janss said. Choose north or south but not both. TBH, north at Sedona and Grand Canyon National Park will be crazy crowded. La Posada would be a good base plus a night at Grand Canyon National Park.
