From the Walgreens site about travel to Hawaii: "The Rapid Diagnostic Test (ID NOW) and Diagnostic Lab Test (PCR) provided by Walgreens are nucleic acid amplification tests (NAAT). Both types are approved by the state of Hawaii, however the turnaround results time may vary.

    On the Walgreens website, when you search for locations, make sure you select the appropriate checkbox and then it will only show locations that offer the rapid test. Note that Hawaii accepts NAAT tests and Walgreens has both the Rapid and the RT-PCR tests that fall into this category. You cannot take the antigen test for HI travel.

    Are Walgreens or CVS pcr or antigen tests accepted? 3 years ago. Other islands stipulate very specific Covid tests for entry that have to be obtained via placed like Passport Health. Is USVI allowing the pcr and/or antigen tests that Walgreens and CVS perform? Thanks for any info y’all can provide.

    Here's my experience so far with Walgreens PCR testing: Thursday: scheduled COVID testing for first available appt on Sunday Morning ~69 hours before scheduled departure. Sunday: Did drive-through PCR testing, took about 35 minutes (waiting in line + testing) for all 3 of us to do test in car. Monday: Received test results 35 hours after testing.

    Walgreens offers different test, the Rapid PCR test comes back within 24 hours, the regular PCR test can take up to 72 hours to get results back. Both are NAAT tests and acceptable by Hawaii. Unfortunately not all locations offer the Rapid PCR test. We have taken 2 Rapid tests and have had results in less than 2 hours for travel to Hawaii.

    The PCR test from Walgreens is a NAAT test. Both the PCR and the Rapid ID NOW are acceptable for travel to Hawaii. The big difference is the amount of time it takes to get results. I got 2 Rapid ID NOW test results in less than 2 hours fir 2 different trips. The PCR test took about 26 hours to receive results.
