Hello all. We have a little less than one day left in Denver and wondering if Mt Evan's is worth going if you've already been to the Rocky mountain national park.. I understand the drive itself from Denver is about 2 hours and another hour to drive to the top of the mountain.

8 years ago. In mid-April the Mount Evans Scenic Byway is only open to Echo Lake at 10,600 ft. not to Mount Evans at over 14,000 ft. Trail Ridge Road in RMNP is open to Many Parks Curve at 9,640 ft. Both. Visit Mount Evans first and get there earlier in the morning to find parking at the summit. Check to see if there is a concert at Red Rocks. The amphitheatre will close early if there is. In that case, you might have to reverse your trip. Here is the scenic loop that includes both the Mount Evans Scenic Byway and Red Rocks.
