Our bill was exaclty what was estimated at reservation time, $85.00 plus taxes and fees, $128.00. I must say, I would definately use Dollar or Thrifty at MCO location again. We got a great car. Check in was not so bad.
Other rental car companies have better options for tourists. Enterprise, National, and Alamo have a toll option that allows you to use the cashless lanes, and you will be billed for the actual tolls incurred plus a fee of $2 a day for each day you incurred a toll, up to $6 total per rental. That is a much better value.
Never used them in Orlando but they were awful in LA a couple of years ago. Waited over half an hour only to be told the car was nearly ready, nearly being another 45 minutes. Couldn't complain about the car but the service at Alamo is infinitely better.
Answer 1 of 4: Came in last night after a 9 hour flight and spent nearly two hours in the line waiting for my rental car. In that time I witnessed two altercations, and listened to staff trying and failing in most cases to upsell.
