1. Re: Booking car rental through Costco. 4 years ago. The way I have done it:: Alamo has "Skip the counter option". Become a loyalty member with Alamo. Rent through Costco. Take the Costco/Alamo confirmation #, go to the Alamo site using your loyalty number. Look up your reservation with the # .
Thankfully I had another reservation just in case with Costco so I wasn't out a car. Lesson learned and only go through Costco's website now which now requires membership to reserve. That way the rental companies don't need to check for membership because it's needed before the booking even gets to them.
Call the toll free number listed and follow the prompts, it will connect you directly to the car rental agency and you can cancel. If you lost the email, as long as you remember which car rental it was with and dates of rental you can call them through the Costco travel toll free number and they can search their system to cancel the reservation ...
When you rent a car through Costco, you may be able to add a second driver to the rental for free. Normally, this costs up to $15. You can book with Alamo, Enterprise, Avis or Budget.
10. Re: Car rental through Costco by non-member. 10 years ago. Costco changed their procedure a couple years ago to require the Costco member number in order to make a reservation. Prior to that, pretty much anyone could book using their codes and the rental companies rarely asked to see the Costco membership card.

We have a car booked for Maui and Oahu. Mostly looking to change in Oahu ..has cheaper rates through Costco but through Alamo and enterprise.
12 years ago. We usually book the vehicle on the rental car company's website and enter the "Costco discount code/ coupon Id # etc for the discounted rate. They do not require your Costco membership number. Upon picking up the vehicle we have had it both ways....a few times they have asked to see the membership card...most times not.
Re: Link Costco Budget Reservation w/ Fastbreak account? 3 years ago. I did a dummy reservation, and somewhere along the process, where Costco asks for "Renter's Detail", there is a slot where you enter Budget Fastbreak number. Maybe if you have already made the reservation, go back to edit "Renter's Detail" and enter your Fastbreak number.
