3. Re: Budget vs Alamo car rental. 6 years ago. yes Alamo way preferable with online check in and skip the counter. Budget does not let you "skip the line" they apparantly have a seperate fast break line. The last time I was with Budget there was a line out the building and they let people in a few at a time. Wait times were about 90 min.
