I googled the expedia customer support centre contact (UK) and got a number which I called, as there was a queue the bot offered to call me back, which they did, I had to wait but got through to very helpful guy who put me through to the refund sections and after half an hour they had the details and confirmed we would get a full refund.
United send us a confirmation, that we will get the refund and recommended us to forwart this e-mail to Expedia, so that they are informed. Since Expedia only has phone customer support available, I called the again, asked for an email from their side to which I responded with the email from United.
Send an email to the CEO of expedia saying you'll be contacting thisismoney.co uk about a story about someone who'e being forced to pay £280+ because the call centre could not properly understand English.
