The Lincoln County Leader is a weekly newspaper based in Newport, Oregon, United States. It was formed in January 2024 by the merger of the Newport News-Times and Lincoln City News Guard, both published by Country Media, Inc. 6 years ago. I personally like Newport better- it has a more 'town' feeling vs Lincoln City. While the original villages/districts can be found in LC, the city was formalized in the 1960s/70s and has more of a strip mall feeling- for me LC does not have a sense of place... both cities have alot of dining & hotel options and nice beaches.
