Hertz Car Rental - Denver Airport. 1 year ago. Over 50 people waiting in the Denver Hertz Rental lobby. We waited for over 2 hours and finally called an Uber. Sadly they had many cars in the lot but they were considered upgrades and price gauging customers if they wanted a car. I had a full size reserved on a corporate account (business trip).
1. Re: Avis or Hertz at Denver Airport. 9 years ago. Rental cars are about a 10-15 minute shuttle. Just go out either side of the terminal to the rental car shuttle island. Both Hertz and Avis are fine. Personally, I prefer Avis. Have fun. Report inappropriate content.
I stick with Avis or Hertz and rarely would go beyond. Also, rental cars tend to be very expensive at DEN and airport fees are also high. You can oftentimes save by taking a taxi, Uber or shuttle to Quebec Street (old airport area) and hitting one of the rental car companies there (like Avis). Good luck. 3.

I have never had a worse experience like i did a Hertz Denver Airport. To start the trip off, i have never been so rudely greeted and handled as a customer in my life.
3. Re: Top Denver car rental company at airport. Enterprise, National, and Alamo are all the same company. As are Hertz, Thrifty, and Dollar. And Avis and Budget are the same company. 4. We prepaid for a rental car for 11 days. Went to check it out and were asked if we wanted to take the extended insurance.
I'm looking to rent a car for a week in June. I'll be picking it up at Denver International Airport. I currently have a standard 2 door car reserved through Hertz. I was thinking of changing over to Avis, as I can get a "luxury" class car for not much more.
