    We had all the VAT tax refund forms filled out, but when we arrived very early to the airport the customs desk was closed. We were told we would be able to get the forms at least stamped (validated) so we could either get the refund before leaving the EU (we reside in U.S) or mail in our validated forms later (were told we would have 2 years, but we would have done it right away anyhow).
