Palacio de Hierro is another hidden treasure of Mexico. Located in the city center of Orizaba is a spectacular Eiffel design that is a pleasant surprise off the usual tourist path. About 2 hours south of Puebla the city would be a good choice as an easy day trip either with tour or by bus, it's worth the effort.
