We've now been told that KuKu does also have a culinary meaning. Apparently it's a popular 'egg based Iranian dish, frequently vegetarian, made with whipped eggs folded in with various ingredients'. A bit similar to an Italian frittata but with less egg and quicker because the topside is often grilled. Can't find any Japanese or sushi connection.
