I book my own travel and only have gotten AAA discounts in the USA at large chain hotels. When I go to Europe I use smaller local hotels or B&Bs to get more of the local flavor.

The hotel sites that offer AAA discounts have a place where you select AAA rate which is about 15% when booking online or will give the discount when showing up on the day.

You will not receive a "AAA package rate" unless you book through AAA. We have found that "package rates" are often exactly the same, whether booked through AAA or directly with Disney.

Keep in mind when booking through a 3rd party you are subject to their terms and conditions so cancellations are rarely allowed should the need arise.
