I book my own travel and only have gotten AAA discounts in the USA at large chain hotels. When I go to Europe I use smaller local hotels or B&Bs to get more of the local flavor.

The hotel sites that offer AAA discounts have a place where you select AAA rate which is about 15% when booking online or will give the discount when showing up on the day.

   BUY THE PACKAGE TICKET, RUBY FALLS, ROCK CITY AND THE TRAM !! You'll get a discount if you pre-purchase at a AAA office. Ruby Falls is a 400 foot descent in an elevator, a half mile walk in and half mile out in a narrow cavern environment. Seeing the falls makes the trip worth it.
